iMED Card

The iMED health insurance card is an essential piece of identification, along with your UBC student ID. During your coverage dates, keep your iMED card and your student ID with you so that you (or someone on your behalf) can access them in case you need medical attention.

How and when you get your iMED card

DCIS will start to email iMED Cards approximately one month prior to the start of your first UBC term—or later depending on when you register for your first class. iMED Cards are sent to your email address on record at UBC. Check your inbox and junk-mail folders!

Didn’t get your iMED card?

If after checking your inbox and junk-mail folders you do not find a message from DCIS with your iMED card, please let DCIS know by using this contact form with “Missing iMED card” as the subject, and include your name, UBC student number, and date of arrival in Canada.

Incorrect iMED card?

If your iMED card has incorrect information please let DCIS know by using this contact form with “Incorrect iMED card” as the subject, and include your name, UBC student number, and date of arrival in Canada.

Have Questions for UBC about your iMED fee?

Submit your inquiry to the ISD Web Form. (If you are a UBC Okanagan student, please contact your International Student Advisor by email at geo.ubco@ubc.ca)
